By decision of the Minister of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, driver’s licenses, license plates and vehicle traffic permits will be returned from Monday, April 10, 2023, in order to facilitate citizens’ movements during the Easter holiday season.

The Decision concerns the driving and traffic records that have been removed or filed with the Police Authorities until Sunday, April 9, 2023, exclusively for the violations:

– of article 34 of the C.O.K. (stop & parking ) and

– of par. 3 of article 4 of the C.O.K. (sign P40, stopping and parking is prohibited) for which the license and license plates will be withdrawn for twenty (20) days, in accordance with paragraph 8 of article 103 of the Code of Civil Procedure. as amended and in force by par. 3 of article 31 of Law 4530/2018.

Excluded and non-refundable are driving and vehicle traffic data, which relate to:

– Violation of a red light

-Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or toxic substances

-Driving in the Emergency Lane (E.L.A.)

– Offenses related to obstructing ramps for people with disabilities and parking in reserved or general parking spaces for people with disabilities

-Dangerous driving, driving to show skill, impress, compete or perform improvised races (cars, motorcycles, mopeds)

A condition for the return of the aforementioned driving and traffic data is the payment of the administrative fine.

It is noted that the execution of decisions issued by judicial or other Authorities is applied normally, as they do not fall under the above return procedure.
