A constable and a special guard, who serve in Attica, are among the six arrested, in the context of the autoforos, by the Internal Affairs Service of the Security Forces, accused of drugs and dereliction of duty.

In particular, a case file was filed against the arrested for, as the case may be, violations of the legislation on addictive substances and amateur-professional sports, as well as for breach of duty. It is noted that the case file also includes five people for violating the drug legislation, for whom the conditions for the automatic procedure were not met.

According to the Ministry of Citizen Protection, after appropriate use of information and application of special investigative techniques, it emerged that the arrested policeman, since October 2022, was trafficking quantities of narcotics, mainly raw cannabis. These quantities were supplied by another arrested person, while the defendants used their houses as storage areas.

At the same time, the constable allegedly used precautionary measures and in particular coded conversations and the use of online applications in communications, while, as it was found, he trafficked narcotics using an official car, while performing an ordered service.

The accused constable, while he was on duty yesterday, Saturday, April 8, in an official car, told his escort that he had to meet a relative, who was going to travel. Immediately after, he moved away from the official vehicle and met with one of the arrested persons, whom he supplied with eight grams of cannabis.

As for the special guard, it was found that he procured narcotics for his personal use.

In searches carried out at the houses of the defendants, among other things, 2 kilograms and 536.2 grams of raw cannabis, 46 tablets and 11 vials of unknown liquid substances, as well as 2 vacuum and sealing packages were found and confiscated.

Those arrested are taken to the competent prosecuting authority.
