The price of goat in large chains does not exceed 10.99 euros/kg, says the announcement of the Ministry of Development
The prices of lamb in the “Easter Basket” now start from 9.69 euros/kg based on the new lower prices announced by the supermarket chains.
This is noted in an announcement by the Ministry of Development and Investments.
In his post on Twitter, the Minister of Development and Investments, Adonis Georgiadis commented: “New lower prices in the “Household Basket” in all chains from today. Competition works in favor of consumers, as much as some may cry. I am proud that with our policy we finally achieved lower prices than in 2019!”.
As noted in the announcement:
– the largest reduction in today’s current price compared to the initial price of last Wednesday, April 5, amounts to 96 cents/kg,
– in 11 of the 13 supermarket chains participating in the “Easter Basket” initiative, the price of lamb is up to 9.99 euros/kg,
– while in all the chains the price of the goat does not exceed 10.99 euros/kg.
Tomorrow morning, the Minister of Development and Investments Adonis Georgiadis and Deputy Minister Nikos Papathanasis are going to visit the Central Market of Athens (Barvakeios).
