Widow of Gugu Liberato, Rose Miriam paid tribute to him on the day the presenter, who died in November 2019 after falling from the roof of his house, would have turned 64. Through social networks, she spoke about the longing she feels and compared him to her children.
“He went into the arms of the Lord, our Mighty and Merciful God. Today, I see João just like his father. Even knowing that God made us individuals with his own characteristics. Gugu was here in the world a very intelligent man, a father exemplary, full of love for his children,” he began.
“Today, I live happily accompanying this wonder that God allows me to experience and allows me to pass on my immense love for them twice as much. Right now he lives in another dimension in the presence of angels, Jesus and God; he is and will always be a great spiritual being. One day we will all be together continuing as a family,” he wrote.
When her partner’s death completed one year, in 2020, Rose had already paid tribute to Gugu. To the lawyer Nelson Wilians, who represents her in the process of recognition of a stable union, the widow spoke of the family’s feelings at that time. “The longing is infinite. But, little by little, we are rebuilding ourselves”, she said.
According to Rose, Gugu has always been her partner and companion at all times. “Gugu was my angel. We lived happily, in perfect harmony for more than two decades”, she said. She was also grateful for the support she received. “To the fans of our dear Gugu and to everyone who has supported me in this difficult period, my affection and sincere thanks.”
