The Rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) Nikos Papaioannou is receiving threats against his life, after the recent end of the occupation of the university space that lasted 34 whole years.
Government spokesman Giannis Oikonomou speaks of well-known thugs who “fantasize that they will continue their work as they were used to”, while saying that legality and academic order are now non-negotiable.
“Anyone who does not accept this and continues to rumble misery will face the consequences of the law. “Of course, the condemnation of such fascist behaviors is self-evident and all political parties should stop hiding and take a clear position”, Mr. Oikonomou emphasizes.
