The departure of the Easter excursions has been underway since the morning at the ports of Attica.

It is noted that today M. Thursday 19 ferry itineraries are expected to depart from Piraeus for Cyclades, eastern Aegean islands, Dodecanese and Crete.
Yesterday, M. Wednesday, 13 ships departed from the port of Piraeus, while 15,372 passengers departed. 29 ships with 5,718 passengers left for the Argosaronic islands. From the port of Rafina, 12 ships departed and 5,221 passengers departed, while from Lavrio there were 7 routes with 1,655 passengers.
The assessment that exists is that from the ports of Attica on 46 itineraries from 13/04/2023 to 16/4/2023 they are expected to travel 37,093 passengers and 5,592 vehicles.
According to information for the Cyclades, the occupancy on the ships reaches 95% for today, while for the Dodecanese there is a problem of cabin availability. Increased occupancy also exists for the Argosaronic islands.
In the morning, the Minister of Shipping Yiannis Plakiotakis, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Shipping Kostas Katsafados and the Chief of the Coast Guard – Hellenic Coast Guard, Vice-Admiral Georgios Alexandrakis, was at gate E-7 in the port of Piraeus during the departure of the passenger ferry ship Blue Star Delos which departed for Paros-Naxos-Thira with 2400 passengers and 367 vehicles.
In his statements, the Minister of Shipping emphasized that to date all the ships of the coastal shipping have been checked and inspected not only in regular but also in emergency checks. He added that the safety of the tens of thousands of passengers as well as the crews is always our constant priority.
