Drink that is part of the population’s daily life, coffee has a date dedicated just to it in the global calendar. This Friday, the 14th, is World Coffee Day.

In the capital of São Paulo, new coffee shops opened their doors in the last six months, among them, houses dedicated to special grains and commanded by renowned chefs. To celebrate the date, discover five places in São Paulo to enjoy a good coffee.

Express Love

The coffee shop, in the Avenida Paulista region, prepares coffee with beans from its own farm, in Brotas, in the interior of São Paulo. The menu lists a variety of hot and iced coffees. Among them, espresso (R$ 6.80), strained (R$ 13.70) and Erika (R$ 17.50), with chocolate ganache. To eat, there are sweet and savory dishes. Orders can be withdrawn through a small window or tasted on the two floors of the salon.

Ça-Va Café

French chef Erick Jacquin opened the café in January on the ground floor of a commercial building on Avenida Faria Lima. On the menu, there is espresso (R$7.50), cappuccino (R$11), latte (R$8.50) and machiatto (R$8.50). It also offers breads, salads and main dishes signed by the chef. The highlight are the sweets with a French accent, such as the macaron (R$4.50 each) and the pistachio choux (R$25), made with profiterole.

Inaugurated in January, the cafeteria has a simple decoration, with neon lights and furniture made of stone and cement. The cafeteria has been open since March in the basement of Galeria Metrópole, downtown. To drink, there are options like the traditional strained, for R$7, and the cold strained with honey and orange, which costs R$15. To accompany the coffee, there are sweet and savory delicacies such as cheese bread (R$10). , banana and honey cake (R$14) and cornmeal bread served with orange cream (R$12).
