Fear and terror for a 35-year-old woman from the Roma settlement of Diavati, who, pretending to be an insignificant reason, blackmailed her for a number of days pay 20,000 euros.
The perpetrator – according to the Police – repeatedly sent abusive and threatening video material to the couple’s mobile phone, while he did not hesitate to “visit” his victims at their home, threatening the woman with a gunfiring a gun in the air to intimidate and cause damage.
Following police searches, the 35-year-old was located in Evosmos by police officers from the Thessaloniki Extortionist Prosecution and he was arrested after a chaseafter he tried to escape by making dangerous maneuvers and endangering the safety of road users.
A case file was filed against him and he was taken to the prosecutor for attempted extortion, dangerous driving, intimidation, disturbing the peace, verbal abuse, damage to foreign property and violation of weapons laws.
