The vaccination program is accelerating again, as according to data provided by the Deputy Minister of Digital Government, George Georgantas to SKAI and the show “Kalimera”, the number of first dose appointments tripled last week compared to October.

“People responsibly and realizing the need to shield themselves either by giving the first dose of the vaccine or the souvenir, lately show a special mobility”, the deputy minister noted.

In detail, from Monday to Saturday, 130,000 citizens scheduled their appointment for the first installment compared to 45,000 which was a week in October.

During the same period, more than 200,000 appointments were made for the third installment. “On Monday we will reach half a million people who have taken the booster dose. “Messages have been sent since Friday and Saturday to remind the people who are completing their semester that they have the opportunity to make the commemorative dose”, added Mr. Georgantas.

According to him, only yesterday 15,000 citizens were vaccinated with the first dose. “It’s like a small town was shielded,” he concluded.
