Horror and killing disgusts of five dogs in Tympaki from nests thrown by an unconscious criminal shortly after Easter.

It was lucky that only one dog was taken to the vet in time, while the specially trained dog of the Federal Animal Guard of Crete and Dodecanese, Eka, detected yesterday, Thursday, April 20, the nests that the unknown perpetrator threw, leading to the death of five innocent animals, among them and a dominated.

In fact, as game warden Spyros Nistikakis told ERT, who was in the area yesterday with the trained Eka, the unconscious perpetrator put such a large amount of poison in meat and meat remains that the unfortunate animals did not have time to move away and “extinguished” only five meters from where the nests were found. It was, as he explained, fat with a large amount of white powder (probably lanite) found wrapped in butcher’s wrapping materials.

The unknown assailant seems to have thrown the nests in the Gyralona area of Tympakio, on the road to Kataliki, on Wednesday, April 19.

On the same day, a 29-year-old girl he complained at the Phaistos Police Department that 4 dogs were found dead from eating folas. According to police sources, another girl, the owner of a dog, complained that hers was also found killed in the same barbaric way. The same sources reported that a 56-year-old reported that another dog was found poisoned, however, it was alive and was taken to the vet in time.

According to Mr. Nistikakis, this dog was found inside a house and belongs to the same girl who mourns the loss of her other dog from the nests.

Investigations are being conducted by the Police to identify the perpetrator. Information, however, states that a camera in the area was out of order.

It is the second mass killing from poisoning of dogs with nests recorded in the prefecture of Heraklion recently, after the criminal activity of an unknown person in Fortetsa of Heraklion, where last March at least 10 dogs were found dead from the continuous throwing of nests near a playground.
