In fact, as the lawyer of the 53-year-old delivery man, Eutychis Mavrogenis, stated, it was not the first time that the driver of the van had attacked him. As he stated, the perpetrator had attempted in exactly the same way to kill the delivery man in October 2022.
It is recalled that the traffic accident occurred shortly after 3 pm on Wednesday on the parallel of the National Road.
At the time, the 46-year-old was driving his van on the road when he realized that in front of him was a bicycle driven by the 53-year-old deliveryman with whom he had personal differences. As soon as he saw him, he stepped on the gas and hit his motorcycle, causing the 53-year-old to be on the road and seriously injured in the head.
The 46-year-old driver of the van fled, with passing motorists stopping him a few meters down.
It is worth noting that yesterday the 53-year-old was discharged from the Chania hospital.
