Voting in all polling stations outside Greece will last from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time of each country
The Council of State deemed legal the draft Presidential Decree which specifies May 20, 2023 as the voting day for the parliamentary elections outside Greece, i.e. one day before the holding of the national elections in our country.
In detail, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Minister of the Interior Kalliopi Spanou submitted to the 5th Department of the Council of State a draft Presidential Decree according to which May 20, 2023 is determined as the date for parliamentary elections in all electoral divisions outside Greek territory. The right to participate in the parliamentary elections outside Greece is given to the voters who are registered in the special electoral lists abroad.
At the same time, voting in all polling stations outside Greece will last from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time of each country.
The 5th Section of the Council of Ministers, chaired by Vice-President Margarita Gortzolidou and rapporteur Christos Papanikolaou, with its opinion No. 83/2013, deemed the aforementioned draft Presidential Decree legal.
