After three months of hearings and 25 sittings, during which more than 65 prosecution and defense witnesses were examined, it opened just before 11am the circle of apologies of the 12 defendants for the fan-motivated murder of Alkis Kampanos and the wounding of his two friends, in the early hours of February 1, 2022, in the area of ​​Harilaou.

In front of him Mixed Jury Court of Thessaloniki the 24-year-old is the first to apologize, whose arrest preceded the rest of his co-accused, unraveling the “message” of the much-lauded case.

This is the driver of the first car, in whose possession were found keys from a central association of fans, where a few 24 hours after the murder there was a police raid and a lot of weapons were found. According to the indictment, the 12 defendants had started from this link, to move in three vehicles towards Harilaou, carrying out the brutal attack.

“For days I think about telling the facts as they are without upsetting anyone. I want to apologize for participating in this tragic story that cost the life of Alkis and the injury of his two friends. I wish I could go back in time, do everything differently, not be in groups and associations, but it’s too late,” said the 24-year-old accused at the beginning of his apology, which is ongoing.
