The Ceagesp soup festival, a busy gastronomic event during the low temperature season in São Paulo, starts next Wednesday, May 3rd.
This year’s season runs until September 3 at the warehouse in Vila Leopoldina, in the western region of São Paulo. You pay R$ 59.90 per person to serve yourself as much as you like.

The menu offers seven flavors of soup, which change every week —but the famous onion soup is fixed on the buffet. The menu for the first few days features oxtail soups, capeletti in brodo, shrimp bobó, cauliflower cream with roquefort cheese and vegetables with shimeji.
The value also includes accompaniments such as grated cheese, seasoned ricotta, roasted pepperoni and bread. Drinks, desserts and antipasti table items (R$ 11.90 per 100 g) are charged separately.
Children up to five years old do not pay, and from six to ten years old pay half. The festival, held since 2009, welcomes the public from Wednesday to Sunday, from 6 pm to 11:30 pm.
