An explosion occurred in the early hours of the morning at a bank ATM located in a bakery-confectionery in Agria of Volos, resulting in damage to the building and causing disturbance in the area
Explosion at an ATM of the National Bank located in Agria in a store of health interest, it was caused in the early hours of the morning.
According to information, a car stopped and three people got out with their faces covered.
With precise movements, they breached the store’s wooden door, entered andthey planted an explosive deviceenough to cause damage only to the ATM, while the damage caused to the store is minor.
The perpetrators they removed boxes with money from the ATM and became smoke, while they did not remove any money from the store, as their target was exclusively the ATM.
According to information, all the movements of the perpetrators were recorded by cameras in the area and the police are investigating the case. As it became known, the perpetrators succeeded to grab a sum of money which reaches 100,000 euros.
It is noted that since the explosion were destroyed or burned banknotes up to 5,000 euros.
The incident occurred at 03.50. Police immediately went to the scene and found remnants of the explosive device, while they also collected video material.
The aim of the perpetrators from the police investigations so far is that it was exclusively the money from the ATM, while the Security Directorate of Volos has undertaken the preliminary investigation investigating the profile of the perpetrators.
