Two new initiatives, the first online “Sustainability Academy” in the group and the Manual for Combating Sexual Harassment and Violence at Work, were presented by the Superfund at a special day organized with the participation of employees of the group.

The Sustainability Academy is a new initiative of the Superfund in collaboration with the Institute for Sustainable Development of EPLO, the European Public Law Organization and the ESG training and evaluation company, Verimpact, and is aimed at 500 employees of the group, in order to actively contributes to the awareness and training of executives on ESG issues. Employees have the opportunity to follow the trainings, through an innovative online platform from any device that facilitates them, and upon successful completion of the courses receive the relevant certificate. This is a horizontal action aimed at creating a common culture of sustainability in the Superfund companies.

The director of EPLO’s Institute for Sustainable Development, Spyros Kouvelis, congratulated the Superfund for the initiative as, as he said, the dissemination of sustainability messages and practical training of the executives of the Superfund and its affiliates can contribute in a substantial way to achieving of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

At the same conference, the manual for the prevention and combating of sexual harassment and violence at work, created for the Superfund with the specialized advisory assistance of the Women on Top organization, was also presented.

The handbook addresses and explains the key issues related to sexual harassment, accompanied by relevant examples of incidents and behaviours. It also describes the steps that victims of sexual harassment can take, using, among other things, the existing policies and mechanisms of the Superfund.

As stated by Stella Kasdagli, co-founder of Women On Top, “the best results in the fight against sexual harassment are achieved through the establishment of robust policies, the implementation of preventive measures and the awareness and training of all those involved in matters of equality and respect at work”.

“These two actions are part of the comprehensive sustainability strategy drawn up by the Superfund, setting specific and measurable goals for all its subsidiaries,” said Anthi Trokoudi, director of Communication and Sustainability of the Superfund, emphasizing that “the common perception of sustainability is a prerequisite for its successful implementation”.
