A 39-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of April 29 in Glyfada, by emergency police officers, who a short time before had robbed two kiosks in Elliniko and Argyroupoli.

During the preliminary investigation that followed, five robberies were solved at kiosks in Elliniko and Argyroupoli and at a gas station in Glyfada, as the 39-year-old was identified as the perpetrator. In addition, a burglary-theft from a house in Glyfada was also discovered, from where he removed a sum of money, electronic devices and jewelry.

A case file was filed against the arrested person for consecutive robberies, violation of the law on weapons and theft.

According to ELAS, the defendant approached kiosks and petrol stations at night or in the early hours of the morning and with his facial features covered, threatening employees, extorted sums of money from them.

It is noted that the 39-year-old has concerned the authorities in the past for similar crimes.

The arrested person was taken to the competent prosecutor, while the investigation into his participation in other criminal acts continues.
