A new incident of violence occurred on the evening of Friday, May 5 in Kalamata, when two minors ended up in the Kalamata hospital with serious injuries.

According to kalamatatimes.gr, the perpetrators as well as the victims met at 21:00 at night under the steps of the church in Ypapantis square in Kalamata to resolve meaningless misunderstandings. However, at the meeting point there were not only the two minors with whom the misunderstanding had taken place, but more than 10 people. The meeting took an unexpected turn with the 15 and 16 year olds ending up in the Kalamata hospital with serious injuries and those who were arrested ending up in the detention center together with their parents.
The intervention of the police was immediate as was that of the Kalamata prosecutor where after the required statements they were released until a trial was set.
Of the two minors, only the 16-year-old was discharged.
