Electricity production unit south of Yemen’s capital Sanaaa was hit by an “attack”, which some of its generators shut down, today reported by Houthi’s television network Al Masirah TV, without clarifying who is responsible for the alleged “attack”.

Workshops are working to extinguish a fire caused by the incident, Al Masirah added, citing a source of the Civil Protection Service.

According to residents, at least two explosions had been heard earlier today in Sanaa.

Israel is bombarding goals in Yemen, stating that they are in response to the attacks of Iranian rebel Houthi on it.

Houthi rebels launch rockets against Israel, most of whom have been intercepted, stating that their attacks were supported by the Palestinians in Gaza.

The US and Britain have also previously launched attacks on Yemen’s Houthi rebels. In May, the US announced a sudden agreement with the rebels Houthi, which agreed to stop the bombing campaign against them in return for stopping their attacks on ships. However, Houthi rebels say it is not foreseen in the agreement not to target Israel.
