The arrested man allegedly managed to extort the sum of 69,000 euros from a 28-year-old woman from the end of February to the beginning of April
A 28-year-old man is charged with felony fraud for allegedly having relationships with women with the aim of deceiving them and extorting large sums of money.
Against the 28-year-old, who was arrested a few days ago for a case of criminal fraud against a 35-year-old woman, another complaint was made, according to which, a 28-year-old woman recognized common elements with her own case of fraud and addressed the Property Rights Protection Service of the Security Directorate Thessaloniki.
According to the new complaint, the already arrested, with the same methodology, i.e. by gaining the patient’s trust, entered into a relationship with her and citing starting a professional activity, settling financial disputes as well as dealing with health problems, managed from the end of February to at the beginning of April 2023, to extract the sum of 69,000 euros from the 28-year-old.
The supplementary pre-investigative material will be submitted to the competent Prosecutor, in order to be associated with the submitted case file.
