“Light” on the cause of death is expected to be shed by the forensic examination scheduled to be held on Monday
The prosecutor brought a criminal prosecution for manslaughter with possible intent against the two brothers who are accused of yesterday’s murder, as it turned out, episode, with the victim a 52-year-old funeral parlor owner, in Neapoli Thessaloniki.
The two defendants, 40 and 42 years old, originally from Armenia, were referred to apologize to an investigator, from whom they were given a deadline of Tuesday and remain in custody. The episode appears to have started when the brothers got into an argument with the victim because he was feeding stray animals outside his business.

However, it appears from testimonies that there had been fights between them in the recent past, as the defendants were reacting to the operation of the funeral home in the area. As one conversation led to another, the perpetrators attacked the 52-year-old on Saturday morning, inflicting violence on him, as a result of which he died while being transported to an on-call hospital.
“Light” on the cause of death is expected to be shed by the forensic examination that is scheduled to be held tomorrow.
The defendants, according to information, testified during preliminary investigation that they did not intend to take the 52-year-old’s life, while they pointed out that when they left the scene of the attack, the victim was standing on his feet, conscious and in contact with the environment.
They intend to appoint a technical consultant to attend the forensic examination.
