A father and son were found in the hands of the police in Volos, who had turned their houses into… a weapons warehouse.

They were both arrested for violating weapons and radio laws.

As it became known from the General Police Directorate of Thessaly, following the utilization of information, policemen of the Volos Security Sub-Directorate carried out two lawful searches in houses yesterday afternoon, where they were found and confiscated

• -1- pistol with a magazine that contained two cartridges,
• -1- barrel revolver, containing six cartridges,
• -1- air pistol,
• -1- air rifle,
• -1- rifle with custom scope and silencer,
• -1- double-barreled shotgun,
• -1- hunting rifle,
• -1- hunting carbine with an additional laser-type sight and a hand lens fitted to its stock and a plastic handle at the bottom of it,
• -2- imitations of military rifles,
• -1- imitation pistol firearm,
• -620- cartridges of various types and calibers,
• -1- belt for carrying hunting cartridges,
• -1- package with a number of metal airgun pellets,
• -18- calyces,
• -1- plastic bag with a quantity of shotgun pellets (shrapnel), total weight 224 grams,
• -3- portable digital transceivers,
• -2- portable transceivers (wireless),
• -1- crossbow with adapted aiming diopter,
• -3- individual aiming diopters,
• -1- plastic quiver with -8- arrows,
• -4- paper packages containing a total of -26- arrows,
• -1- night vision and aiming system,
• -3- hunting knives &
• large number of spare arrowheads and shooting accessories.

A case file has been filed against the arrested and they will be brought to the Criminal Prosecutor of Volos, while the preliminary investigation is carried out by the Volos Security Sub-Directorate.
