On Monday, May 15, the process of submitting applications for the financial support of the families of those who died in Tempi by the Stelios Hatziioannou Charitable Foundation was completed. The total amount of the one-off donation amounts to €560,000 and has already been given to the families of our fellow human beings who were unjustly lost in the accident of February 28.

The relatives of the deceased, among them Mr. Ilias Papagelis and Mr. Alexandros Spournias, who lost their loved ones, expressed their gratitude through electronic letters and thanked the Stelios Hatziioannou Charity Foundation for the initiative, which from the first moment stood by the families, directly supporting them in this practical way. The complete list of the names of the deceased for whom payments were made was posted on the page www.steliosfoundation.gr.

Mr. Stelios Hatziioannou stated: “The memories of the tragic train accident in Tempi are still fresh and will not be easily erased. From the first moment, our thoughts were and continue to be next to the families of our fellow human beings who lost theirs, to whom we stand by, offering an immediate financial aid, as a small effort of support and relief”.
