A 59-year-old Greek man and a 28-year-old foreigner of Albanian origin who were arrested in Kos are accused of trafficking in narcotic substances, specifically cocaine, but also narcotic pills.
According to what has been made known by the police, the 59-year-old allegedly procured drugs from the foreigner and then promoted them through his work in a tourist accommodation to drug addicts on the island according to what is mentioned in the relevant case file.
In more detail, after using the information available to the police officers of the Kos Security Department, shortly after midnight on May 12, 2023, they conducted a search at the place where the 59-year-old was working, where they found narcotics.
According to information, when questioned by the police, the 59-year-old allegedly claimed that he had procured them from the 28-year-old Albanian.
This was followed by the arrest of the foreigner as well as searches carried out at the homes of the two men.
In total, in the possession and also in the houses of the two men, the following were found and confiscated:
· 15.9 grams of cocaine
· 14 narcotic pills
· 3,700 euros
· 2 knives
A criminal case was filed against the arrested for drug trafficking, with which they were referred to the District Attorney’s Office for further proceedings.
