This is a bottlenose dolphin which also bore obvious signs of intentional killing.
Another dolphin was found dead early this morning in the northern Aegean, as the environmental organization “Archipelagos” reports in a statement.
As the organization points out, it is a bottlenose dolphin which also bore obvious signs of intentional killing.
It is recalled that a few days ago another dead dolphin was found in the same area with its tail cut off and pierced with a sharp object.
The entire announcement of the “Archipelagos” organization
“Early in the morning we spotted a second dead bottlenose dolphin in the open sea, in the same area where the dolphin that was killed with its tail cut off and pierced with a sharp object ended up in the previous days. And the second dolphin bears obvious signs of willful killing.
The ships of the Archipelagos Institute are active in the area every day, to study and record the populations of marine mammals, but also to locate other dead dolphins – in this extensive sea area and coastline.
Our main concern is the daily defense of our seas and the rare species that live in them.”
