This year, the feast of the collection of the remains of the patron of the Coast Guard – Hellenic Coast Guard Saint Nikolaos, Archbishop of Myron of Lycia, the miracle worker, was celebrated with splendor again, in the celebratory Holy Church of the Saint, in the forecourt of the Ministry of Shipping and Insular Policy.

The gala evening of May 19, 2023 was attended by the Secretary General of Ports, Port Policy and Maritime Investments Mr. Evangelos Kyriazopoulos, the Chief of the Coast Guard – Hellenic Coast Guard, Vice Admiral L.S. Georgios Alexandrakis, the First Vice-Chief Vice-Admiral L.S. Tselikis Alexandros, the 2nd Vice Commander Vice Admiral L.S. Pantazoglou Aristides, Senior and Senior Officers, Officials of the Ministry and the Coast Guard.

On the day named after him, May 20, the Divine Liturgy and the Solemn Doxology were held in honor of the celebrating Saint, in the presence of the 2nd Deputy Chief of the Coast Guard – Hellenic Coast Guard Vice-Admiral L.S. Pantazoglou Aristidis, of the Director of Personnel, Captain L.S. Boulakakis Evangelou, as well as a number of L.S-EL.AKT executives. and Civil Servants of the Y.NA.N.P..

The responsibility of the festive events was the Chaplain of the Coast Guard – Hellenic Coast Guard, Pilot L.S. (I) Dimitrios Varsamidis, while the two-day celebrations were brightened by the participation of priests of the Holy Metropolises of Piraeus and Nice.
