The first pilot “smart & green” classroom was presented at the 2nd Vocational School (EPAS) Apprenticeship of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) in Thessaloniki.

In the context of the collaboration that has started since October 2020, DYPA and CISCO, as members of the National Alliance for Digital Skills and Employment, jointly implement innovative actions in the field of professional education and training.

As stated in a related announcement, in the presentation held, students and teachers highlighted the benefits and possibilities resulting from the use of the Cisco Board Pro interactive whiteboard and the installation of a wireless network and “green” infrastructure solutions, through Cisco Meraki, for the functional upgrade of the classroom.

“Strengthening and upgrading professional education is a key priority of DYPA and the partnerships with leading companies, such as CISCO, aim for EPAS to offer high-level apprenticeship programs that utilize and integrate emerging technologies into the educational process, providing a rich experience to the students and properly preparing them for their professional rehabilitation, after their graduation” is highlighted in the announcement.
