“The historic victory of New Democracy and Kyriakos Mitsotakis is a victory for the entire Greek people, who went to the polls to ensure that the country will embark on a new course in the future with optimism, stability and self-confidence» emphasizes in his post on Facebook, one day after the parliamentary elections, the Minister of State and Digital Governance and ND MP, Kyriakos Pierrakakis.

“Citizens rejected being locked in a repeat of the past of regression, aggravation and uncertainty. And it shows that hidden agendas, double-speak and systemic toxicity are roundly frowned upon from a society that knows that Greece needs new ideas and new consents to move forward safely and confidently” Mr. Pierrakakis continues in his post, adding:

“The election result expresses a strong mandate for stable government that will continue to guarantee national security and to build on the path of development for all. A government that will complete the construction of a modern, efficient, digital state capable of sweeping with the new capabilities it acquires all the deficits and problems that still exist. Having overcome the distortion and dangers of simple proportionality in yesterday’s ballot box, it is now visible that this government will soon be a reality.

On a personal level, I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart all the citizens who voted for me and to assure them, but also all the citizens of Athens A, regardless of the party and the MPs they chose, that I will work in Parliament together with the rest my colleagues for the upgrading of Athens and the defense of their interests.

I would like to thank my colleagues and all the staff in the Ministry of Digital Governance. From 2019 until today, with hard work, with enthusiasm, but also with the romance of believing that politics can change our lives, we have provided a sample of writing that was condensed on gov.gr and reflected in the daily life of all the citizens of our country . We have built a new relationship between the citizen and the state, a relationship built with the stuff of efficiency, respect and trust.

I also want to thank all those volunteers and residents of the city who accompanied me in the last months in every neighborhood of Athens. The relationships we built in this election battle mean a lot, over and above any election result. Because they make a big difference in time and in our lives.

In 2019 we said that from “can’t” we will seek to erase “can’t”. We are ready to realize the vision and dream of a better Greece that advances, progresses and participates proudly and equally in the society of European states.

We continue. Steadily, creatively, forward, for a self-reliant Greece”.
