A total of 82 days have passed since fatal train accident in Tempein which 57 people lost their lives.

Gerasimos – Iasonas, from Volos “celebrated” his birthday in the Intensive Care Unit of the Larissa General Hospital.

The young student is even in a coma, with his health condition remaining critical and seriousdespite the optimism that prevails in the medical staff, after he managed to overcome the infections that plagued him.

His aunt made an emotional post on her personal Facebook account, writing:

“21 today … we are very old to be happy, we hope that next year you will blow out the candles yourself. Hang in there little one, our great giant. We love you.”

The young Gerasimos was the sole passenger which survived the first wagon. He suffered severe head injuries and underwent minor surgery to decompress his head after his severe injury.
