In the arrest of a man, who last Monday allegedly killed his elderly mother with blows, while under the influence of alcohol, the Kozani Police proceeded.

According to the information of Kozanimedia, the 61-year-old, who lived with his mother and often concerns the authorities due to his behavior after excessive consumption of alcohol, notified EKAB that his 86-year-old mother is unconscious.

However, the EKAV crew found that the unfortunate woman was already dead and informed the Greek Police, who brought her son who was under the influence of drunkenness.

Despite long hours of questioning, the 61-year-old still has not confessed.

The Kozani Police is, of course, awaiting the medical examiner’s report, which, ultimately, seems to show that the 86-year-old’s death was caused by blows.

The case of the homicide of an 86-year-old citizen, committed on 22-05-2023 in Kozani, was immediately investigated by police officers of the Kozani Security Department, for which a 61-year-old citizen, the victim’s spouse’s son, was arrested yesterday (23-05-2023) in the afternoon in Kozani, in on account of which a felony criminal case was filed for the crime of manslaughter.

In particular, as emerged from the thorough investigation of the aforementioned police officers, in the morning hours of 05-22-2023, the 61-year-old caused multiple injuries to various parts of the 86-year-old’s body, resulting in her fatal injury.

The preliminary investigation was carried out by the Kozani Security Department, while the arrested person, with the case file against him, will be taken to Ms. Criminal Prosecutor of Kozani.
