According to an announcement by the ministry, 16,249,994.1 euros have already been paid to 71 aquaculture companies and 14,370,498.84 euros to 5,735 fishermen.
The general secretary of Union Resources & Infrastructure, Dimitris Papagiannidis, signed the decision to include approximately 10,000 requests of fishermen and fish farmers in the compensations for the additional costs incurred due to the war in Ukraine, with the total amount of the payment amounting to 38.6 million. euro.
According to an announcement by the ministry, 16,249,994.1 euros have already been paid to 71 aquaculture companies and 14,370,498.84 euros to 5,735 fishermen.
In addition, the payment records for 40 water/water companies and 2,718 fishermen have been forwarded to the Financial Service of the FSAAT, with the purpose of crediting the aid amounts calculated on the accounts of the beneficiaries in the next few hours, which are 4,727,091.71 euros for the fishermen and 3,176 .763.10 euros for the residents.
“With these payments, a cycle of paying significant compensations to the fishing sector of the Country is completed, which also included the compensations paid to deal with the consequences of the pandemic in the amount of 59,511,664 euros, exceeding a total of 100 million euros” notes the HYPAAT.
