Today, Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 18:00, the electronic submission of applications for registrations and re-registrations of infants-toddlers in the 26 nursery centers of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) for the school year 2023-2024 begins. Applications can be submitted until July 2.

The accommodation of infants-toddlers is free of charge.

DYPA’s privately owned nurseries operate from September 1 to July 31, from 6:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday to Friday) and are aimed at infants and toddlers from 6 months to 4 years.

As stated in the relevant announcement, a daily program of creative work is implemented for the harmonious psychosomatic and educational development of the children.

The selection criteria are financial, with priority given to lower income families, and social (large and single-parent families, orphans, disabled parents, etc.).

In Attica, nursery schools operate in the municipalities of Acharna, Agia Varvara, Ano Liosion, Elefsina, Keratsini, Moschato, Olympiakos Chori and Peristeri, while, in the rest of Greece, they operate in the cities of Agrini, Arta, Drama, Igoumenitsa, Ioannina, Kavala, Kalamata, Karditsa , Karpenisi, Komotini, Larissa, Messolonghi, Naoussa, Xanthi, Patras, Pylaia Thessaloniki, Serres and Trikala.

Submission of applications is done exclusively online, through gov.gr, with TAXISnet access codes, HERE.

Specifically, the route is: gov.gr → Education → Registration at a nursery school → Registration at a nursery school of the Public Employment Service (DYPA).

Beneficiaries are the parent, parents or guardians (guardians, guardians, etc.) of beneficiary children, who:

– during the years 2022-2023, completed a total of 25 days of insurance in the e-EFKA and/or special provision of maternity protection and/or regular unemployment subsidy and/or long-term unemployment subsidy or

– are registered in the DYPA unemployment register for at least two months on the deadline for submitting applications or

– are beneficiaries of the unemployment benefit for self-employed insured persons (s. OAEE, S. ETAP-MME, S. ETAA).

After the application process is completed, provisional tables of selected, substitute and excluded infants and toddlers will be posted and beneficiaries will be able to submit objections within three days.
