ENDE’s announcement in detail

“The Union of Judges and Prosecutors condemns the attack on the home of the First Vice-President of the Union and the threats posted on a well-known anti-authoritarian website.

We assure that the Judicial Officers are not deterred by such attempts at intimidation and continue to carry out the work of dispensing Justice, with vigor, boldness, an independent mind, a high sense of responsibility and always guided by the Constitution and the law.

The Union of Judges and Prosecutors, repeatedly, has requested the preparation of an integrated plan to guard the Courts and protect the life and physical integrity of Judicial and Prosecutorial Officers.

We call on the State to take all the necessary measures in order to ensure a safe environment for the exercise of the Judiciary, because it is a matter of Democracy, that Justice is awarded under conditions of calmness and sobriety and not under the state of threats and violence against Judicial Officers”.
