A serious incident involving a patient and doctors in the Emergency Department occurred at the Aigio Hospital.

The patient came to the Hospital in a state of insanity and aggression and according to filodimos.gr, two doctors and other patients who happened to be present were not spared from his fury.

Information indicates that there was an injury to a paramedic who broke his arm during the fight and the Police were called to intervene. But the next day, relatives of the arrested again went to the Hospital with threatening moods, because their relative got involved with the police (!).

Regarding the incident, the Hospital Administration issued a statement:

“On the occasion of a recent incident that took place in the Emergency Department (Emergency Department), the Administration of G.N. Eastern Achaia – O.M. Aigiou unequivocally condemns once again any form of violence against the staff, who over time overdo themselves by offering valuable services to the citizens of the wider region. It goes without saying that all legal actions for this specific episode have been carried out”
