In the signature three contracts for supply of 31 patrol boats and three speedboats of the port corps, totaling 14,372,700 euros, the Ministry of Shipping proceeded with the company “VIKING NORSAFE LIFE-SAVING EQUIPMENT GREECE”. The boats in question are part of the overall equipment program of the Coast Guard – Hellenic Coast Guard which has been ongoing for four years and is worth a total of 800 million euros.

Specifically, since the end of 2019, the port authority has designed an integrated and coherent equipment program, which is implemented by utilizing every financial possibility provided by the European Funds of the 2014-2020 program period under completion.

In particular, the three contracts in question provide for the following:

The first contract worth 3,399,000.00 euros (exempt from VAT) concerns the “supply of ten (10) inflatable patrol boats 11-12m long. with an air chamber or with a closed cell fender, which should be delivered within the next 18 months.

The project is co-financed by the Operational Program for Fisheries and the Sea (E.P.Al.Th.).

The second contract worth 10,374,000.00 euros (exempt from VAT) concerns the supply of twenty-one (21) marine-type patrol boats with diesel engines, with a total length of 11.28 meters, which should be delivered within the next 16 months.

The project is co-financed by the Internal Security Fund (ISF), the Financial Support Instrument for Border Management and Visa Policy (BMSPTH) and additionally one of the vessels is co-financed by the Regional Operational Program of the Ionian Islands.

End, the third contract worth 599,700.00 euros (exempt from VAT) concerns the “supply of three (03) high-speed patrol boats (tenders) to meet the needs of offshore vessels.

The project is co-financed by the Internal Security Fund (IDF) and the vessels in question should be delivered within the next ten months.
