Out of control was the situation at the Juvenile Education Foundation in Nea Ionia, on Monday at noon, when two inmates almost caused a riot because officials made a remark to them.

Threatened an employee and was hit in the face a penitentiary. It all started from an employee remark to an 18-year-old, to hang up the phone he has been using for 40 minutes, when the time allowed is 20 minutes.

He and a friend of his age they reacted to the employees’ remarks against them for using the phones and one of the two responded rudely to a female employee.

When the warden demanded to be asked “Sorry” then “the blood was on fire” and he testified in court that one of the two young men hit him on the chin with the club and uttered threats.

By the time he realized what had happened, some other inmates were kicking him from behind, while they untied the legs from two tables and moved towards the employees, aiming to intimidate them. The legs of the tables were wooden and metal, while a broomstick was found in the hands of an inmate.

The two 18-year-olds located at the Foundation for thefts and robberies they stubbornly denied that they caused incidents and one even testified that the correctional officer hit him in the face, but he will not file a lawsuit against him.

The Prosecutor and the President of the seat yesterday at Automatic Three-member Misdemeanor Court they declared to the accused that if they do not respect the simple rules of a social contract that allows people to live together, they will spend their whole lives in prison as unrepentant criminals and without justice being able to show mercy.

The two 18-year-olds were sentenced to two years and three months without parole.
