Shocking moment in the morning at the port of Kalamata, where one of the relatives arriving to look for their relatives, found his little brother. She rushed to hug him behind bars, the moment heartbreaking.
Fardi stood on the railings that had been set up and tried to hug his brother Mohammed who was rescued from the wreckage.
With tears in their eyes the two brothers held each other’s faces and embraced.

Mohammed had started from Libya and his final destination was Italy. He never got there, but he was saved.
The transfer of migrants from the port of Kalamata to the structure in Malakasa is underway
They departed from the Port of Kalamata the rescued migrants from the shipwreck off Pylos. A total of 68 people are currently being transported to the Malakasa facility, including some juveniles who will be initially transported to Malakasa to complete identification procedures and then transferred to juvenile facilities.
Shortly after 08:30 the migrants, all between the ages of 16-40, started boarding the buses. Earlier they had gone out of the area that had been set up and were living in bags with whatever personal belongings they managed to save after the wreck and were waiting to give their details.
At the same time, relatives continued to come to the port of Kalamata to look for their relatives.
