For a few days now, Athens has yet another modern playground of high standards. This is the completely reformed entertainment and sports area of ​​the Municipality of Athens in Neo Kosmos, which now allows the small citizens of the neighborhood to enjoy their game in a healthy and above all safe environment. This free recreation and play area, surrounded by Vouliagmenis, Kasomouli and Pytheou streets, has an area of ​​685.89 sq.m. It is big and comfortable for all children to play. It also has durable and certified play equipment for climbing, slides, swings with infant seats, and many other toys, as mentioned in an announcement by the Municipality of Athens.

The playground offers a wide range of games for children to keep them creatively occupied throughout the day. Surfaces with interactive components, three-seater seesaw with balance surface, individual inverter, multifunctional composite structure with slides and fireman’s pole, as well as special instruments for climbing.

As emphasized, it was designed with special care so that children of all ages can play safely. It has a certificate of conformity from an accredited control and certification body, as well as a special mark of suitability for operation, while the entrance and exit are properly configured, so that it is easily accessible by the disabled. The ground has been constructed to prevent injuries and the site has metal fencing and is fully accessible to emergency vehicles.

With the aim of upgrading the space and improving the infrastructure of the playground, the services of the Municipality installed modern urban equipment in the spaces, such as new waste baskets, benches, taps, but also signs with information for parents and children.
