The details of one more wanted accomplice were identified – The prosecutor filed criminal charges against them
Fraud of 2 million euroswith victims of businessmen and freelancers, to whom aspirants promised their inclusion in Development Programsrevealed the investigation of the Department of Property Rights Protection of Thessaloniki.
Two 64-year-old nationals – leading members of the organization – and among them a civil engineer – were arrested, against whom, as well as against their 48-year-old national accomplice who is wanted, a case was filed for criminal fraud by profession and by extension, attempted fraud, criminal organization and money laundering. The public prosecutor filed criminal charges against them and referred them to a regular investigator to apologize.
According to complaints submitted to the aforementioned Service, since 2013, the aforementioned approached a total of 13 entrepreneurs and freelancers, from whom they extracted sums of money in order to help them integrate their businesses into development programs.
In order to be believed, they presented printouts from a public service in which the 64-year-old defendant appeared as the person responsible for settling their cases.
As announced by EL.AS, the total loot they managed to take from the victims amounts to 1,989,205 euros, while on 06-14-2023 they tried to take another 1,600 euros, at which time they were arrested.
What did the investigations find?
In searches carried out in homes, an office and a vehicle, a number of folders with various documents (tax, bank, topographical), digital files and documents, the sum of 1,400 euros and a watch of great value were found and confiscated.
The investigation continues to identify any other victims.
