Angelopoulos to players: “We are proud of you, we made history”

Initially, the floor was taken by George Angelopoulos: “Many congratulations on an amazing year. We all made history together. Olympiacos for the first time in its history makes a second consecutive double. More important than that is the basketball we played this year. I think it was the best team of all time in Olympiakos and one of the best team of all time in Europe. I think we made an amazing team, that through the difficulties, we reached almost all the goals. We won all the titles in Greece. We touched the European level, but I think the basketball we played has been recognized by all the opponents and I think we have won the admiration and respect of all of Europe. And this is your achievement. We are very proud of you and thank you for everything».

In turn, Mr Panagiotis Angelopoulos he said: “And let me tell you that today, we may not have realized it yet, but we all wrote history together. For me, I also told you in Kaunas, that you are the definition of the team. We would have liked to have won the Euroleague as well, but we are happy with what we are living today. Congratulations to everybody».
