The unusual for the season bad weather that hit the country during the three-day period 16-18 June had as its main characteristics the locally long and heavy rainfall, such as those that hit Thessaloniki on the morning of Saturday 17 June and the storms in continental and island areas while in some cases there were also hailstorms.

It is noteworthy that the bad weather affected almost the entire country with the exception of a few areas in Crete.

Based on the records of the network of automatic weather stations of the National Observatory of Athens / meteo.gr, the highest amount of rain of the three days was recorded in Stemnitsa in Arcadia and was 104 millimeters.

They are followed by Setta Evia with 93 mm of rain, Zagora Pelion (89 mm), Eptapyrgio in Thessaloniki (87 mm) and Metsovo (86 mm).

Today, generally clear weather is expected with the possibility of local rains or storms in the morning hours in the south-eastern Aegean and in the hot hours of the day in the mainland with an emphasis on eastern Macedonia and Thrace.

In Thrace, storms are likely to be accompanied by hail.

The temperature will range from 10 to 26 degrees Celsius in western Macedonia, from 11 to 32 degrees Celsius in the rest of northern Greece, from 10 to 29 degrees Celsius in Epirus, from 11 to 31 degrees Celsius in Thessaly, from 12 to 31 degrees Celsius in rest of the mainland, while in the Aegean islands and Crete from 15 to 29 degrees Celsius.
