Criminal responsibilities for the case of the candidate for this year’s nationwide exams who was caught by invigilators copying with an earphone in his ear, the Thessaloniki Prosecutor’s Office is investigating.

Based on reports, the head of the Thessaloniki First Instance Prosecutor’s Office, Dimitris Smyrnis, ordered a preliminary investigation to be conducted by the Police.

The investigation moves on two levels: on the one hand, to establish whether the offenses of attempting to obtain a false certificate or forgery were committed by the competing student, and on the other hand, to identify any accomplices so that the prescribed criminal responsibilities can be attributed to them.

As part of the investigation, the prosecutor ordered to take statements from the teachers – supervisors, to confiscate the headset – “louse” and to examine his writing.

According to the reports cited by the prosecutor, the competing student was taking pan-Hellenic exams at a private school in Thessaloniki. Supervisors heard a buzz in the hall and then discovered he had an earpiece in his ear.

His writing, as reported by the same publications, was zeroed out.
