Free on condition that he be monitored by a child psychologist in order to become independent from the internet, the 16-year-old was released who was arrested in Thessaloniki on the charge that owned and available for salethrough an online platform, child pornography material.

The accused high school student apologized to the 7th regular investigator, denying the charges attributed to him. According to information, he claimed that he either found the material in question (photos and videos) posted, or “downloaded” it from the Internet.

Regarding the sale of photographs (for 5 euros each, as stated in the case file), he allegedly stated that he made them available to a police officer – an internet user, who presented himself as an interested buyer, without knowing his true status, in the context of the preliminary investigation into the his alleged action.

The minor, who was arrested by police officers of the Electronic Crime Prosecution, is being prosecuted for disclosure to third parties and posting in public view and on social media of material related to sexual life, with pecuniary benefit (ongoing), possession, offer and sale child pornography material, through computer systems (by profession).

In the context of the same investigation, information states that EL.AS has identified other cases of minors for similar acts.
