Voter turnout at the polls reached 29.13% by 1:30 p.m.according to the information of the general secretary of Interior and Organization of the Ministry of the Interior, Michalis Stavrianoudakis.
In relation to the May elections, voter turnout has decreased by 2.4%, as participation then was 31.52%.
The data emerged from the relevant information of judicial representatives in 18,794 polling stations which correspond to 87% of the total.
Participation is highest in Heraklion, Cretewhere one in three registered voters voted (33.52%), followed by Fthiotida, Second Thessaloniki, Northern Athens, Eastern Attica and Larissa.
On the contrary, the lowest participation observed in Florina with a rate of 17.03% followed by Kefalonia, Evrytania Laconia and Lefkada.
The next and last update will take place at 17:00 for the participation rate until 16:30.
Mr. Stavrianoudakis also reported that the participation of Greeks abroad, who voted a day earlier, reached 70% (79.6% in the May elections), as 17,300 of the 25,500 registered went to the polls.
