The little girl seems to be responding to the anti-inflammatory treatment she is being given
The news about the 4-year-old girl, who is being treated at ICU of the Hippocrates Hospital, Thessalonikis after a snake bite in Eleftherohori, Riga Feraio municipality.
Based on the latest update from ERT, the little girl is hemodynamically stable, hospitalized in the pediatric ICU and appears to be responding to the antibiotic treatment given to him.
How the incident happened
The little girl was with her grandmother in the village cemetery, when suddenly a snake “jumped” out of the grass, which was found to be a viper, and bit the little girl’s hand.
The child’s parents were notified and they first took him to the Velestino Health Center and then to the Volos Hospital. The doctors gave him an antiofic serum and the little girl remained at the Pediatric clinic of “Achillopoulio” for monitoring.
Initially, the little girl was taken to the Velestino Health Center and from there to the Volos Hospital, where the doctors gave her anti-inflammatory serum and then she was hospitalized in the Pediatric clinic.
However, as reported by ERT, the child had an allergic reaction to the antiofic serum and for this reason was transferred to the Larissa hospital. There she was given a second dose of antiofic to which she again experienced an allergic reaction and it was deemed necessary to transfer her to the ICU.
