It’s running out today Friday, July 7 at 6 pm is the deadline for submitting child benefit applications from OPECA.

It is reminded that applications for the allowance are made either at www.idika.gr or at www.opeka.gr using their personal access codes to Taxisnet. This concerns citizens who did not meet the previous deadline.

It is noted that in order to complete the application for the allowance, it must be submitted definitively. However, an application that has been temporarily stored is considered not submitted and will not be taken into account.

When will the third installment of the 2023 child benefit be paid by OPECA

The platform will be closed in order to start processing the payment of the third installment 2023 and any retroactives.

This payment will be made on Monday, July 31, 2023 to all beneficiaries who have submitted an application. However, it is noted that the child benefit money will be available on the previous working day, Friday 28 July 2023, in the afternoon from the banks’ ATMs.

When is the benefit “cut off”?

The OPEKA child benefit will not be paid to beneficiaries who do not meet the following conditions for its grant after cross-checking. These conditions are the following:

  • The minor children aged between 4 and 16 of the applicant for child benefit:
  • have enrolled in compulsory education for the 2022-2023 school year and
  • have sufficiently completed their studies on June 30, 2023 for the school year in question.

Also, the allowance will be interrupted, when the sufficient attendance of the minor children in compulsory education is not fulfilled at the end of the school year 2022-2023 due to an unjustified number of absences.

This measure will be valid until December 31, 2023.
