New shocking incident with animal abuse it happened this time in Crete. A 26-year-old left tied up in a field horse without water and food and the unfortunate animal cooled down.

As the neighbors told the panhellenic federation for the environment, animals and hunting, where the complaint was made, the animal was tied with a rope in the field in the heat for several days without any shade and without water.

They themselves filed a complaint when the horse was now dead and existed strong stench. The police officers of the Kissamos Police Department who went to the scene found the young horse dead and a little while later its 26-year-old owner, who was arrested and admitted that due to professional obligations he had not visited the unfortunate animal in the last few days.

According to information from ERT, the veterinary service has already been notified in order to perform a necropsy on the young horse, which is estimated to be around five years old, while as can be seen from the photos, it was not shod.

However, as members said animal welfare organizations, if the neighbors had notified earlier, the animal might have been saved. The 26-year-old owner of the impounded horse is facing felony charges for violating animal laws, and is expected to be fined several thousand euros.
