By sheer luck, the shop owner who was inside the premises at the time was spared
New traffic accident in the city of Lamia it happened in the morning when the driver of a vehicle lost control, causing it to crash into a store window.
It is the second car, within a few days, that falls into shop window. On Friday, a car drove into a department store window after breaking a STOP and colliding with another car. There had also been a major collision at a city center intersection where a taxi clipped a tree before ending up on the pavement after colliding.
Something similar happened this time at the junction of Othonos and Levaditou streets, in Lamia.
The driver of the white rural car violated the STOP by going up Levaditou Street and hit a vehicle whose driver was driving on Othonos Street.
After the collision the car went out of control and hit another parked car and then “pinned” into the shop window.
At that time, the owner was inside the store and she was working bent over the sewing machine. It’s a miracle she wasn’t injured by some of the shattered glass.
“I was working inside the store. I hear a bang and immediately after that I see the car crash into our storefront…”, the owner told LamiaReport.
