Immediately expected to receive the first compensation the owners of the houses that burned or were damaged by the fires in Saronida and Loutraki, as pointed out by the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection Christos Triandopoulos speaking on the show “Mismatches” on SKAI.

According to Mr. Triandopoulos overall 150 houses have been counted, with the greatest damages concerning the municipality of Loutraki.

The arogi.gov.gr platform is already activated in which the fire victims they can apply for the compensation they are entitled to, which is 5,000 euros for houses with damage and 10,000 euros for houses that were completely destroyed.

As the deputy minister explained, this is a first aid to those affected, as the system will also run at the same time housing assistance which covers the construction of houses up to 150 sq.m.

Also, there is rent subsidy or cohabitation with amounts of 300-500 euros, depending on the case.

Mr. Triandopoulos also mentioned that part of the household equipment that has been damaged will be covered.

As far as businesses are concerned, between 2,000 and 4,000 euros are given depending on the damages, while insurance contributions are regulated and suspended.
