The Region of Attica shows its support for the fire-affected animals of Attica that were tested in the recent fires, contributing to the work of voluntary animal welfare organizations.

The regional governor G. Patoulis went to the reception area for fire-affected animals that has been set up in the Galatsi Municipality area and handed over to the voluntary pet rescue organization “dogs voice”, animal feed and chemical toilets to facilitate the operation of the facility. Mr. Patoulis was accompanied by the president of PEDA and mayor of Galatsiou G. Markopoulos.

In a corresponding initiative, Mr. Patoulis together with the deputy regional governor of Western Attica L. Kosmopoulos delivered 2.5 tons of animal feed to animal welfare organizations, associations, etc. of Western Attica, whose representatives thanked them warmly noting that “every initiative to support the animals tested by the fires is valuable”.

For his part, Mr. Patoulis pointed out: “In these difficult times we are going through, it is our duty to show our solidarity and support to the animals that were endangered in the recent fires. We are close to them as well as to the voluntary animal welfare organizations and associations that provide valuable services in the effort to rescue and care for our little friends”.
